Apparently paid subscribers of File Planet are going to be able to participate in a public beta test of BF 2142. When looking over it the cheapest package to become a subscriber is $15.95 for a quarterly subscription (so 15 bucks to play and test the beta of BF2142).

This is the communities chance to make the end game better. Everyone that played Battlefield 2 knows how many bugs it had and this could make a huge difference in the end product of BF 2142. I think what they are doing here will be great for the game.
