EA has announced the release of the demo with Sidi Power Plant Map this Thursday! You will be able to explore the next step in the Battlefield World while battling with your friends in both our new Titan Game Mode and classic Conquest Game Mode.

If you pre-ordered the game you will be able to download the demo 24 hours in advance. You will be able to get Battlefield 2142 exclusively through the EA Downloader.

Pre-order the Collector’s Edition and get the demo 24 hours before anyone else!

New PS3 Controller Name Revealed, Welcome SIXAXIS

Sony’s wireless PS3 controller has been named SIXAXIS. The Bluetooth supported, USB outfitted controller will be packaged with the Playstation 3 or can be purchased in Japan for 5,000 yen (US $43) starting November 11th. It is possible to switch the SIXAXIS from wireless to wired controller via USB. According to SCEI, The wireless controller can be operated for up to 30 hours when fully charged.

Sony is also selling a USB Memory Card Adaptor. It will go for US $13 and can be used to transfer PS2 or PSX game data for the PS3 harddrive. They also announced sales data for the BD remote. The system’s Blu-ray Remote Controller will drop on December 7th for US $31.

At current prices it seems a little out of the price range of most gamers and costs as much as a good mid range video card.
