On a cold August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at insane speeds through the heart of Paris.

Streets were not closed, Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. Lelouch was arrested when he first pre viewed this to an audience in France. In his defense, he stated that he had taken all possible precautions. This included hiring a Formula One driver to helm the car (refusing to name him).

The Ferrari 275 GTB was one of Ferrari’s classic race cars and also beautiful.
