Internet Explorer 7 IE7 Released! Firefox Who?
October 19th, 2006 by PreZ
So apprently Microsoft “heard us”… what was it we said again? Internet Explorer 7 was just released. It resembles FireFox so much it is ridiculous. Are we really supposed to forget about FF now Microsoft?
Key Features in IE7 are as follows
-Tabbed browsing
-Improved printing
-Rss Feeds
-Security… yeah right
-Search
The integration of RSS feeds is about the most promising thing in IE7 but in reality most people don’t subscribe to RSS feeds (yeah I know im gonna get hate email for this one). Fact is most people I know do not know what RSS feeds are. Just because you and I know doesn’t mean its widely accepted.
All the new features in IE7 are basically the features of FireFox. My only two hopes are that maybe IE7 doesnt have a memory leak and can render CSS properly.

First security hole in IE7 is already announced. It is even a documented hole in IE6 that MS has not repaired. Well done Microsoft. A great example in how to program for security. Now, if this hole had affected their DRM, they would have had it fixed in hours. Shows you where their priority is.
