September 29th, 2006 by PreZIf you are like me you have probably seen Kurt Cobains suicide letter before but it is barely readable. Now we have a completely readable version of Kurt Cobain’s Suicide note.

To Boddah,
Speaking from the tongue of an experienced simpleton who obviously would rather be an emasculated, infantile complain-ee. This note should be pretty easy to understand.
All the warnings from the punk rock 101 courses over the years, since my first introduction to the, shall we say, ethics involved with independence and the embracement of your community has proven to be very true. I haven’t felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music along with reading and writing for too many years now. I feel guity beyond words about these things.
For example when we’re back stage and the lights go out and the manic roar of the crowds begins., it doesn’t affect me the way in which it did for Freddie Mercury, who seemed to love, relish in the the love and adoration from the crowd which is something I totally admire and envy. The fact is, I can’t fool you, any one of you. It simply isn’t fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I’m having 100% fun. Sometimes I feel as if I should have a punch-in time clock before I walk out on stage. I’ve tried everything within my power to appreciate it (and I do,God, believe me I do, but it’s not enough). I appreciate the fact that I and we have affected and entertained a lot of people. It must be one of those narcissists who only appreciate things when they’re gone. I’m too sensitive. I need to be slightly numb in order to regain the enthusiasms I once had as a child.
On our last 3 tours, I’ve had a much better appreciation for all the people I’ve known personally, and as fans of our music, but I still can’t get over the frustration, the guilt and empathy I have for everyone. There’s good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too fucking sad. The sad little, sensitive, unappreciative, Pisces, Jesus man. Why don’t you just enjoy it? I don’t know!
I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy and a daughter who reminds me too much of what i used to be, full of love and joy, kissing every person she meets because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point to where I can barely function. I can’t stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable, self-destructive, death rocker that I’ve become.
I have it good, very good, and I’m grateful, but since the age of seven, I’ve become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along that have empathy. Only because I love and feel sorry for people too much I guess.
Thank you all from the pit of my burning, nauseous stomach for your letters and concern during the past years. I’m too much of an erratic, moody baby! I don’t have the passion anymore, and so remember, it’s better to burn out than to fade away.

is not in cobains writing. that paragraph is the only part that makes it a suicide note. the note is of him saying that he is quiting the music business, and divorcing courtney. before he die he got his lawyer to change his will to exclude courtney. alos a friend passed a polygraph saying that courtleny tried to pay him a large sum of money to kill cobaine. also it is inposiable for cobin to have pulled the trigger of the shotgun with all the herroin in is system and also the gun was to long for him to pull the trigger, with out using his feet, but he was found with his shoes on

I think kurt was the man. Personally i dont know if it was a murder or suicide. This letter seems really depressing, but like someone said it wasnt his hand writing, and he was found with his shoes on and he couldnt have used his hands to reach the trigger. I think it was his wife. Now Frances has to deal without him! thats terrible. I think that girl is one dumb bitch.

I met Kurt two weeks bfore teen spirit hit the market. He stood and smilled ( God he looked so happy!) at me for about twenty seconds, as if he knew something I didn’t. He walked toward Chris at the (Spokane Airport) and was off he went…..He brought folk and blue grass to the ingorant. and I can never spend a day without tinking what he has done for the world. That has nothing to do what he has written but they found alot of weed in his blood so maybe when he got high he wanted courtney to know this. But on the otherside maybe this was just a note he wrote to announce that he was not going to continue in nirvana or something..
We will never know but we all miss kurt and wish that this never happend..

well when i read the note i was bummed out because he’s saying that he’s sick of making music for people that dont understand why he is doin his music and besides the last paragraph seems so off from the others as if he whote the first paragraphs first and then got so fucking high and whote the last one I still believe is was murdered and if he really was…that SOB shall burn in hell for eternity, I also like to say that i think he loved his daughter so much that he would’ve wanted to raise her and see her grow up.

Kurt Cobain was an absolutely amazing musician. i love the fact that he didn’t want to get sucked into the whole hollywood thing. He wanted to make sure that his music was true to who he is and not by money or fame like some other wanna be hard core rocker assholes. i believe Courtney killed him!!!!!!!! its theres so much evidence to prove it.
Kurt Cobain will forever be missed, his music helped me through a very rough patch in my life and i’ll always listen to his music when life decides to screw me over…AGAIN!

There is a lot of solutions that people came up with to why Kurt may have committed suicide, the thing is that no one will ever know. He had his own thought about life, and I appreciate him for that. Yeah maybe I don’t do all these drugs like meth and heroine, but I do understand kurt cobain and what he feared. Also what he felt wasn’t fair. Today all my friends and I look up to kurt for being an awesome musician, not just because he passed away. If anyone hasn’t noticed, people only liked kurt after he died. Before they did not know he existed. But its all cool I am not one to judge, but I will say this, respect him. Not because he has passed but because if it weren’t for him, all of us wouldn’t have someone to look up to. He is kurt, not god. He is kurt, not jesus. He is kurt cobain!!!!
I hope frances can forgive her father, allowing her to understand why he did it.
