I got a frantic Instant Message from my sister tonight telling me that Myspace was down. Of course as always I thought it was probably just on her side and was fine for everyone else. I was wrong.

There was a severe power outage in the data center that hosts Myspace. This is the second day in a row now that Myspace has been down and im sure News Corp, Myspaces parent company is not happy about this all. I live in California also and operate many websites but im lucky, none of my sites are hosted in LA. Right now we are going through a record heat wave in Southern California with temps as high as 115 degrees farenheit.

News Corp paid over 500 million dollars for Myspace and has seen little to no return on that investment so far. Adding to this Myspace being down for extended periods of time surely doesnt make investors rest easy.
